I am currently splitting time between my longtime home of Portland, OR and my new home, Casita Mojave, near Joshua Tree, CA.
My latest work is a new series titled Night Stories, a growing collection of short stories, essays, and meditations on life as a solo mother in the California desert.

It is my great honor to continue creating art this summer
After applying with selections from Night Stories, I was selected to attend the Screenwriting track at VONA’s 2023 Summer Workshop with Njila Mumin this past July.
I was also awarded a two month long artist residency with Centro Cultural that is currently running through August. This residency will capture the creative process, the work, the craft and the release.

Life In a tiny house
We are about to enter The Silver Mother’s best seasons, Spring and Summer.
Trailer life has stabilized. My romantic and work life has not.
The bathroom in the Silver Mother is 95% finished, and is one of my favorite sections of the trailer.
Each night, I found myself coming home to what felt like scenes in an HGTV home makeover series.
Silver Mother is the name I gave the trailer, because she’s big, and silver, and she’s a she.
Pajamas, fleece, and a beat up pair of Ugg’s are my uniform these nights.
Getting dressed in a 25 square foot space each morning feels victorious.
Our landlord sold our house and gave us the boot, so I said yes to a trailer.
